Friday Prayer Services

The next Friday night service will be led by our wonderful Ba’al Tefilah, Josh Israeli, on September 11th, beginning at 6:30 pm. Come out for an evening of Shabbat celebration!

Please join the Socransky family in celebrating the bar mitzvah of their son Liam at the synagogue on Saturday September 12, 2015, beginning at 10am, followed by lunch in the social hall. We look forward to seeing you there! Mazal tov Liam!

It’s that time of year again!  While summer is still stretching out ahead of us, fall will come soon enough and with it, the Ya’amim Nora’im, the Days of Awe.  We will once again be welcoming our amazing Baal Tefilah, Josh Israeli.  His services are inclusive, warm, and meaningful and we hope that you will be able to join us. We welcome both your presence and your participation.  Remember… a minyan is a minimum!

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone at this afternoon’s Hanukkah Party!
See you at 4pm at the synagogue (158 John Street).   There will be crafts, music, singing, stories and food!

Please mark you calendars…. on January 18th and 19th we will welcome Evan Mendel of Jewish Federations of Canada – UIA who will present a Shabbat program that is sure to appeal to young and old alike.  Events will include a Friday night service with a Tu B’shvat themed meal, a Saturday morning family oriented program and an adult-education lunch-and-learn.  We hope to see you there!

We would like to wish Mazal Tov to Sidney and Shira Shapiro and welcome the newest member of the Jewish community of Sudbury. Baby naming date and time will be sent out once the plans are finalized. Baby registry is under the name Shapiro on the sears.ca website.
